The club are pleased announcement the appointment of Kevin Christou as our new manager. Kevin has extensive experience at this level of football with previous clubs including Tring Athletic, Oxhey Jets, Royston and FC Romania. Kevin will be joined by his management team of Paul Lilly, Cameron Davies and Ryan Day.
The club initially met Kevin in the summer and the whole selection committee were impressed with his approach and impressive pull of players. Kevin's brief is very simple to steer the club away from the current predicament and restore Ris to a competitive force in the Combined Counties Premier League.
Mark Eaton commented:
"We are pleased that Kevin agreed to join Risborough in the summer we went through an extensive recruitment process of which Kevin's application was highly regarded so his appointment is an extension of this process. This season has not gone to plan and our expectations have had to change from the initial lofty plans of promotion to now ensuring we stay at step 5. It was clear that the current squad was not strong enough and needed improving and Kevin's network of players has already meant plenty of new faces will be on show. We wish Kevin and his management team every success"
Kevin Christou commented:
"I am really looking forward to the challenge of restoring Risborough Rangers back to where they should be. I have had experience of winning step 5 before and look forward to helping the club achieve its ambition. Along with my backroom staff we will work non stop to get the club back performing at the levels previously set"
