Sadly, Adam Ankers, who played at RRFC until leaving last year to pursue his talent at Henley College, had a sudden cardiac arrest last Wednesday while playing a college football game.

Emergency services were called, and paramedics arrived within minutes, however despite the efforts of the college staff, paramedics and specialist hospital staff, Adam sadly didn't recover and passed away.

Adam Ankers a remarkable young footballer played at Risborough Rangers from an early age and continued his football journey by playing last season for our adult reserve team. While his time with us was far too short, the impact he made during his 17 years will forever resonate in our hearts and minds.

Adam was not just a talented athlete but a true embodiment of passion and dedication. His love for the beautiful game was evident in every stride he took on the field, in every graceful touch of the ball. Whether he was scoring goals, making assists, or simply enjoying the camaraderie of his teammates, he brought an infectious energy that lifted the spirits of all around him.

As we mourn the loss of Adam, we must also celebrate the legacy he leaves behind. His legacy of resilience, perseverance, and love for life serves as an inspiration to us all. Though he may no longer grace the pitch with his presence, his spirit will continue to live on in the memories we cherish and the lessons we carry forward.

To Adams family and loved ones, we extend our deepest condolences and offer our unwavering support during this difficult time. May you find solace in the countless lives he touched and the everlasting impact he made.

Adam you may have left this world too soon, but your legacy will endure forever. Rest in peace, dear friend. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Andy Quigley
Vice Chairman, Risborough Rangers FC
